Write Life Writers’ Retreat
February 14, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - February 20, 2022 @ 11:00 pm MST
You’re inspired. You’re determined. Your next story /article/book /memoir is “write” on the tip of your pen or surface of your computer screen—BUT—it’s hard to prioritize your creative work. Well, you’re not alone.
Spend a few days in creative contemplation on Zoom with facilitators and fellow writers. Gather each morning as a group to explore the concept of your creativity being a spiritual gift that is integral to your identity — your reality. Spend your mornings and afternoons in quiet contemplation and writing. In the evenings share your work, offer and receive critiques in a safe, supportive atmosphere.
Note: This is not a program for marketing or teaching/learning how to write.
Bring your unfinished manuscript, your creativity, and your writing materials to our sessions. Prioritize time to commune with your inner muse and bring forth your masterpiece during the retreat.
Note: 13 participants maximum including facilitators
Participants will receive the zoom link information directly from the facilitator Anne Perry.
The retreat will begin on Monday night with an informal session and then include two sessions per day: one in the morning for inspiration, information, and goal sharing and one in the evening for critique of work.
The schedule for Feb 14 to 20, 2022 will be:
Mornings: 9-10 am Pacific 10-11 am Mountain 11–12 am Central 12–1 pm Eastern
Movement, meditation, devotions, presentation, sharing, announcements, freewriting
Evenings: 6–8 pm Pacific 7–9 pm Mountain 8–10 pm Central 9-11 pm Eastern
Critique sessions—submit in writing at least 2 hours before, on screen, read aloud
If the group decides to offer a public reading, that will occur either on Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon.
– a testimonial from one of last year’s attendees “… I have to say that I had put this project on the shelf for a few years, then attended the Desert Rose virtual writer’s retreat last February with the hope that it would stimulate me to get back to work. Since that time I’ve been meeting every other week on Monday evenings with three other writers who have kept me on task. I’m so grateful for the connections I made at the retreat, and clearly, my goal was achieved! I wanted to be finished with the rough manuscript by the end of the year, and tomorrow I will accomplish that! With gratitude to all,” Joyce Jackson

The “get Ticket” box will not activate for me. What do I do now? duanelherrmann@yahoo.com
I sent the money through the “donation” function. The writers retreat is what it is for.
