NaviGAIT™, a monthly online program, examines, explores, and engages how we bring ourselves to a changing and challenging world at home, school, work, business, and community. It challenges us to set course with focus.
Building vibrant, sustaining, and sustainable communities, engaging in noble social action, and actively and constructively engaging in the necessary social discourse of the day; they all require an assured step in countenance and gait. NaviGAIT™ focuses on such countenance and gait in our words and deeds, and our own best sense of Integrity. Here we explore Character, Purpose, and Unity (our personal CPU) and how we lead our own lives with joyful Excellence, and that assured step, to better help in community building, social action, and public discourse.
This is a program that will impact personally and professionally. Each session is 90 minutes of surgical, strategic, and supportive content, with a focus. Our intent is not so much to change, but to reveal. In these times of change and challenge alike, personal leadership provides a ballast, anchor, rudder, and sail. We explore and advance what they look like in twelve sessions that are independent and interdependent: silos and steps. And there is HOMEwork; practical, real time and real world. Nothing onerous… but engaging practice. Upon completion of the Course, there is a Certificate. That said, its value goes deeper and wider in how we bring our unique and best selves to the needs of the world, and how we NaviGAIT™ through times of change and challenge. There are no “answers” here; but tools for us to be part of the answer.

PRESENTER:
Barry Lewis Green is ‘The Unity Guy’; a teacher, author, and podcaster who describes himself as a lifelong student of the work around character, education, and leadership, and building communities of character, leadership, unity, and excellence. As a college-level teacher he believes that education is truly the oldest and most noble of professions and he is adamant about advancing the power of character, capacity, and creativity-based education to unleash potential. He is a business educator with an expertise built over 40 years in community, economic and business development.
In 2001, Barry became a Certified Tutor/Trainer through The Ruhi Institute for spiritual and community development. Then, from 2002, he had the honor of joining the ranks as Facilitator (and then Master Facilitator) for the Virtues Project™; a globally engaging movement for character leadership and community capacity building. He is also a Certified Facilitator for Personality Dimensions® and its work in temperament and personality assessment. And … in 2011-12, he studied and wrote on character and temperament in his book Human Being Being Human©.
Barry humbly suggests that he has been and is a ‘community guy’, in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors. Work with the Departments of Labour and Rural Agricultural and Northern Development, and Canada Employment and Immigration bore that out in his early career. Then with Atlantic Canada Plus and working at CNA as a community college business educator, he continued with a career in community and economic development that now spans the federal and provincial public service, the private sector, and the community sector. As both a speaker and business educator he has delivered on education, leadership, and business management as a vehicle for community, economic and business development to hundreds of thousands of youths and adults across North America. He works one to one, and in small and larger groups with Entrepreneurs, Educators and Emerging Leaders, as leaders seeking to unite and inspire, and to respond more effectively to change and constructively create it. Through it all, the message is character leadership and education… noble, together, strong.
I have had the great bounty of Serving His Cause for over 50 years. I have been on many travel teaching teams in the U.S. and the Pacific and Asian regions. My wife (now deceased) and I were resource personnel for the Continental Board of Australia and helped to establish the Ruhi Institute process in Tonga, Samoa, Tahiti, Saipan, Guam, Philippines, and based our pioneer station in Fiji where I was a member of the National Spiritual Assembly.
I’m not trying to be boastful. My CV, if you will, is to explain that I have had the greatest joy in speaking with and teaching His Faith to many different strata of people. My heart yearned to help here in the United States, but I found a community which was reticent to just be audacious and resolute in the absolute assistance of the Blessed Beauty and the Concourse on High.
I am keenly interested in seeing how the participants see their roles in the current Nine-Year plan.
Thank you for organizing this event. You will have my full support.
Warmest Regards,
Jerry Johnson
