DRBI offers English classes for students learning English as a second language. ESL students gain skills and ability with classes in:

  4. Bullet  Writing of sentences, paragraphs and essays

  5. Bullet  Pronunciation

LPFM Initiative

DRBI has applied to the FCC for a Low Power FM Radio license.  This is community-based radio with a broadcast area of 10 miles, serving the community of Eloy.  We envision a community of listeners who, guided by the example of Eloy Community Radio programming, work together to create better, more just and sustainable world systems to ensure that all human and other living species on earth move toward a higher quality of life and are able to survive the challenges in the times ahead.  Eloy Community Radio will promote Eloy businesses and events, employment opportunities, and hands-on training for Eloy youth as well as providing an outlet for the creative talents of the community members.

DRBI is a Red Cross shelter.  Several DRBI people are Red Cross Volunteers.

The Grand Canyon Chapter of the American Red Cross serves the more than 5.1 million people in Apache, Coconino, Gila, La Paz, Maricopa, Mohave, Navajo, Pinal, Yavapai and Yuma counties.

DRBI is a partner in the Ambassador Program to increase awareness and understanding of aging issues that prepares communities to meet the needs of the aging population.


DRBI supports the food bank and CAHRA's efforts. Community Action Human Resources Agency (CAHRA) provides a variety of community services to non-homeless and homeless families and individuals. Assistance is provided within the framework of a comprehensive case management plan to provided to help prevent loss of utility service, eviction prevention and foreclosure prevention, emergency shelter, transitional housing, housing assistance for Home Repair/Weatherization, Home Alone Safe Alone, foreclosure mitigation and help for first time home buyers as well as food assistance programs including emergency food boxes and First Things First monthly food box program for families with children birth to five years old supplemental food monthly.
